Toddler Chicken Soup

  • 1 Chicken Breast
  • 1 Large Carrot
  • 4 Cups Organic Chicken stock
  • 2 Cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chicken stock powder
  • 1/3 Cup of Alphabet pasta

Prep:

Grate the carrots with a cheese grator. Using the medium size works the best. Cut up chicken breast into large chuncks.

Directions:

In a large pot add Chicken stock and Chicken. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 5 mins. Remove Chicken and chop and shred it into tiny pieces. Return chicken to stock pot and add carrot. Add water and pasta and chicken soup stock powder. Simmer for 10-15 mins and let stand. Pasta will take on water, depending if you're child likes is soupy or not reduce or add more water when making it.

Commentary:

Chicken soup is a favourite of many kids, it's a great dish on a cold day. It makes us feel good and it's a staple in any household.
