The Chicken Wrap Mystery

1 large wrap
1 large chicken breast
1 tomatoe
shredded cheese
poppy seed dressing
bacon bits
lettuce.

Okay so the reason that this is a mystery, is that it took us by complete surprise that our 2 year old out of no where, grabbed the wrap out of hands and munched away the remaining half a wrap. The challenge is getting them to eat. This issue is, they never seem to eat the same thing twice in a row. This is a great idea, as if she doesn't eat it, I will!

In a tiny bit of oil, brown your chicken breast, or throw it on the barbie. Cut into strips once cooked and set aside to build the wrap. A warmed wrap, wraps! a cold wrap breaks, so warm up the wrap and fill it up with tomatoe, shredded cheese, chicken, bacon bits, and some poppy seed dressing. Tuck in both ends and roll. Cutting in half gives you a half and you little one an easy treat.

Toddler Chicken Soup

  • 1 Chicken Breast
  • 1 Large Carrot
  • 4 Cups Organic Chicken stock
  • 2 Cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chicken stock powder
  • 1/3 Cup of Alphabet pasta

Prep:

Grate the carrots with a cheese grator. Using the medium size works the best. Cut up chicken breast into large chuncks.

Directions:

In a large pot add Chicken stock and Chicken. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 5 mins. Remove Chicken and chop and shred it into tiny pieces. Return chicken to stock pot and add carrot. Add water and pasta and chicken soup stock powder. Simmer for 10-15 mins and let stand. Pasta will take on water, depending if you're child likes is soupy or not reduce or add more water when making it.

Commentary:

Chicken soup is a favourite of many kids, it's a great dish on a cold day. It makes us feel good and it's a staple in any household.
